Ever wished you could change services as they don’t meet your and/or the community's health and care needs? Ever wanted to share how much you have appreciated a good service and want more services like these?
The Patient User Experience Group (PUEG) does precisely this.
What is PUEG?
PUEG is made up of patients, service users, carers and health professionals. The group was set up to review and make recommendations to improve patient/service user experiences of integrated health and care services.
There are 23 integrated health and care services in Hackney including:
Mental health services
Support for carers
End of life care outside of hospital
Crisis management services
Targeted preventative services
PUEG also finds out what local residents health and care needs are and works with the City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Hackney Council to help meet these.
PUEG is an advisory body to the Integrated Care Programme Board which manages the Better Care Fund (BCF) and the One Hackney and City Programme Board.
PUEG is always keen to recruit new members. If you are interested in joining or would like to know more contact Kam Dhenjan, PUEG Co-ordinator by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0207 923 8358
If you have any experiences of health and social care services that you are able to share it would be great to hear from you so that we can communicate the needs of communities and suggest changes to improve patient/service user experience.
