Homerton Hospital ‘best in London’ for A&E waits
Homerton Hospital is among the UK’s top performers for emergency department waiting times.
Official figures show the Hackney hospital saw 94.5% of people who attended its A&E department within four hours – compared with a target of 95% and an England average of 85%.
While other hospitals have struggled to cope this winter, the Homerton has managed to avert a crisis.
The hospital made sure there were enough beds for emergency admissions by only booking day surgery procedures during the first two weeks in January and deferring all other surgical operations.
We are keen to hear about your experiences of the Homerton Hospital, good or bad. Have used A&E or been an inpatient during the last two months? Or perhaps your surgery was delayed?
