Public reps appointed to new 'care workstreams'
Public representatives have been appointed to the boards of four new ‘care workstreams’ that will join up health and social services in Hackney and the City of London.
- Unplanned Care: Ida Scoullos
- Planned Care: Michael Vidal
- Prevention: Stephanie Bierkhandt and Natascha Turner
- Children and Young People: Ann-Marie Dawkins
These local residents will play an important role ensuring the work carried out in each care workstream includes the perspectives of people who use services in Hackney and the City of London. They will also contribute to ensuring residents are at the centre of the local health and care system.
The Unplanned Care Board has been meeting over 2017. Planned Care and Prevention will start soon, while Children and Young People will start-up in around September. Each care workstream is charged with improving health and wellbeing outcomes in the area and will include representatives from local commissioners and service providers.
Healthwatch Hackney is supporting public and patient involvement in the Integrated Commissioning Programme that brings together health, social care and public health locally.
